So apparently they've cast Rachel's dads on Glee. Alas, one of them is not Taye Diggs, even though it would have been amusing given her mum is Idina Menzel. Though, and how do I say this without coming off as totally gay (or I guess even more gay than I'm already coming off given I'm talking about casting on Glee), I suppose he would've been too hunky for the part. (You know what I mean, like what would he be doing slumming it in Lima?) Maybe a little young? (Though her mom is Idina, but I suppose as a surrogate, she would've been younger than Rachel's dads) I figured they'd want to get someone special for her dads, and other than him my only other ideas were like Jesse Martin or Wayne Brady or I guess that guy from Spin City. (and I had no ideas for who her white dad could be played by, though it sounds like some wanted Captain Jack Harkness) Again, maybe I was thinking too young given who the actual choices ended up being.

So who's the show going with, if the rumors are to be believed? Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell. I thought one of her dads was supposed to be black? I guess BSM is black. Its amusing how many people on ONTD asked that same question and thought Glee was spitting in the face of continuity.

Ida know though, while maybe I was thinking too young, the show went older than I was expecting. I mean, Jeff Goldblum was playing Ruxin's dad on the League, and he's like more than 10 years older than Rach.
