Misfits- An amusing season finale, even though I think there ended up being a few plot holes. As always, Nathan manages to be totally disgusting but still hilarious at the same time. Like is "tripling" oneself a real thing? I mean, how would that happen?! And why in the world would you ever admit it to anyone? Even if its an agent who wants full disclosure before hand so they can head off any surprises. I mean, seriously, that's like one of the grossest things I've ever heard in my life, and if that ever happened to anyone in real life, that has got to be the most mortifying thing ever! So Nathan is disclosing to their new agent about how before they got their powers, he picked up a chick at a bar, and they end up shagging, and just as he blows his load, he triples himself. And what is this? So, as he climaxes, I guess he was like so drunk or something, that he also accidentally vomits and shits himself. Seriously, what the eff!!! Again, why would you ever retell such a story. I mean, I'm not sure the girl would ever repeat being vomited and shat on while having sex, and the whole thing sounds too insane anyways, I'm not sure people would ever believe it. So I don't think he had to worry about the story getting out, and as such didn't need to tell the agent lady so she could get ready for any spin control she had to do.
Anyways, its an interesting storyline. So this one guy got "lactokinesis" from the storm and ends up revealing his powers to the world. He gets agent lady to represent him, but then other powered people start crawling out of the woodwork. The probation worker overhear Nate, Simon, and Curtis talking about their own powers and whether they should reveal them, and he ends up outing them to the media. So, agent lady seeks them out. Of course, they're worried about the fact that they MURDERED their previous two probation workers, and she says she can spin it into those workers being evil and the so-called "Asbo 5" saving the world from them. Which is actually true in the case of the first probation worker, since the storm turned him into a hulked out monster. But his fiancee was kinda innocent! I mean, she was just trying to figure out what happened to her fiancee. She ended up toying with Simon, and he ended up killing her. And sure, it was by accident, but its a way different sitch than with the first probation worker. So its kinda weird they're so blase about the second probation worker's death after all this time.
Anyhoo, since milk guy's power involves milk, obviously that's not as cool as being immortal, or being able to rewind time or turn invisible. So he's soon cast aside. And he shows "control over all dairy products", while lame, is actually pretty deadly. Well, if the people just managed to consume dairy products before hand so he can pull it out of their own stomachs and choke them with it.
But during all this Alisha is freaked out by the sudden changes in their lives, and ends up confessing to Nathan stuff about Simon that was stuff future Simon said. So he's all confused and ends up following Alisha to superhoodie's place and is understandably confused. So she spills the beans to him about everything.
Anyways, for some reason Nathan gets a gig blowing his brains out on national television to demonstrate his immortality. Seriously though, the idea of someone being immortal would be amazing, but I highly doubt they would ever televise someone blowing their friggin brains out, even if he would come back to life. I mean, he still kills himself, so I'm sure that's a horrific site to behold.
Meanwhile, milk guy ends up cutting a swath through the misfits (how convenient that they were eating extra cheese pizza before all this! Also, that Curtis is lactose intolerant, so he'd be unaffected as its his power that ends up saving the day), and ends up killing Kelly, Alisha, and Nikki, mortally wounding Simon and turning Nate into a vegetable. So Simon gets Curtis to rewind time before he dies (and what the hell is with Simon getting himself stabbed and shot to save people, I can understand why he did it with Alisha, he might be worried about time consequences, but why the frak did he just not grab the knife to protect Curtis instead of standing in front of him and letting himself get stabbed! He's invisible, he could've disarmed milk guy rather easily!), and he ends up far enough in the past that they're able to stop milk guy from getting famous and the world from finding out about superpowers. (And wait, did they just punch him out? Wouldn't he be just "WTF?!" and just go on with his business after they left? Or did they like kill him and hide the body just like they did their probation workers?! I suppose the guy was a super villain in the making!)
Which is fine and all, but they make it seem like Alisha's death is what motivates Simon into striving to become Superhoodie-ish. But if Curtis rewound time, then Simon wouldn't remember all that, and all that stuff with him and Alisha and her revealing he was Superhoodie doesn't happen! So that seems like a plot hole to me. Also, they show that one clip we saw in future Simon's flat in a previous ep, where Alisha is talking about how they got their powers. But if that never happened, how does future Simon have that video? Unless future Simon is from some alternate version of the future. Its all quite messy, time-wise.
