On the way back from picking up a free french toast special breakfast from Junior's, I passed by this girl who totally looked like Kate Bosworth. Which reminded me of that Death Bed Subtext video with her and Topher Grace on Funny or Die last week.
But speaking of raunchy talk, that Name the 50 sexiest songs according to Billboard.com on Sporcle the other day does have some odd choices. Particularly, Next's "Too Close" at #4. That as the fourth sexiest song, really?! I mean, its starts with "I wonder if she knows I'm hard right now?" line. Which is more vulgar than sexy. And the lyrics are both explicit and pretty ridiculous. How does one "dance like they're naked"?! And "you're dancing kinda close, I feel a little poke coming through, on you"?! Although I guess the quiz is ranking these songs on chart popularity. And its incorrectly named because it should be "top 50 songs about sex" which is not the same as sexy. Particularly since the list includes several songs known to be about masturbation, which isn't really "sexy" either.
But speaking of sex, how hilariously ridiculous was last night's Secret Life. Like the whole Jack and Madison thing. So, she and Lauren are taking care of John, and take pics with him to send to their boyfriends. But then they freak out that their boyfriends will freak out over pics with them with babies, so they follow up with a text all, "Oh, I really don't really want marriage and babies!" But Jack actually really likes Madison now, so he's thinking to himself, why am I in this relationship for then? The real kicker though is when Ben is all, "Maybe you should talk to her about this!" He is literally all, "No, I'm choosing to misinterpret this whole thing and just break up with her without telling her why!" HA!!! That's hilarious! Well, not Madison's misfortune, just at how ridiculous that plot is. I understand couples running into issues on TV because they don't talk it out, but to have someone outright say, "Oh, I'm not gonna talk it out because that just leads to hurt" just seems funny to me in its nonsensical-ness. He can't like this girl too much if he's willing to let her go without getting a straight answer out of her.
Anyways, onto the "big thing", in which Ben and Adrian did have sex at the end of last weeks episode. WTF!?! Okay, I'm glad that they do confront the fact that Adrian can get insanely jealous, leading her to do crazy and stupid things, and like Ricky, she definitely has issues if she's so ready jump into bed with some other guy whenever Ricky does something stupid. Grace is kinda a saint for being so forgiving in all this, because out of everyone, I think she has more of a right to be offended then Ricky or Amy. I mean, she and Ben just started seeing each other. And Ben's not even going out with Amy. And Grace outright warned Adrian to not run over and sleep with Ben just because she thinks Ricky and Amy had sex. Its like, "Oh, my boyfriend slept with his baby mama! I know, I'll get revenge by sleeping with my other friends boyfriend!"
Okay, I guess she picked Ben because of his history with Ricky and Amy, but still! Adrian realizes she effed up and feels appropriately bad, but Ben feels way worse than he should. And what's with everyone getting on to him for that?! Like they're all, how could you sleep with your best friend's girl? Since when were they best friends?! They barely tolerate each other!
And they talk about the whole thing and how this whole thing affects him and Amy, instead of the girl he's currently seeing, Grace! Amy has no right to be jealous, they're not going out anymore. And she's made it obvious she's moved on if she's seeing that Jimmy guy, and starting this whole mess by practicing kissing with Amy. I mean, Adrian's jealousy is a bit understandable. Who can blame her for being insecure when Ricky tends to grow colder whenever they seem to be getting closer? I mean, he did sleep with another girl just a few eps before leading to that mess with the broken window. And she's also insecure because Ricky and Amy have a baby together, so there's always that connection between them. So, to hear her worst fear, that something is going on between Amy and Ricky, I know I say she gets too crazy at times, but this sitch, I don't blame her for going off the deep end.
Ricky is being all, "Oh, it was just a kiss!" I mean, helping another girl practice kissing is not normal. Both he and Amy should know better. And Ben's being a little melodramatic about Amy. He's lost her forever?! What, for sleeping with some other girl when they're not going out anymore and are trying to move on?! I mean, I guess with it being Adrian, there are some issues there since its only recently that Amy and Adrian have been on friendly terms, but before that they pretty much hated each other. But as I said, she's seeing some other guy! Whom she showed interest in before the two of them even broke up! And that was before she even knew about the Italian chick! So even if Ben "cheated" first with Maria when they actually were still in a relationship, she had a wandering eye too.
So Ben is being a little insane, because I don't think this should be a deal breaker for Amy. Its not like they were on a "break" a la Ross and Rachel. (Which still infuriates me, because why was Rachel so mad, how else does she expect him to take "take a break from us"?!) They were fully broken up, she shouldn't fault him for seeing some other girl, when they were both seeing other people at the time and acting like it was pretty much over between them. I know he's come to realize after all this, its Amy he really wants, but what, he thinks she expects him to just pine away for her and not move on while she's seeing all these other guys. I mean, I can see a crazy chick expecting that. But him expecting a chick would expect that is a little weird. Basically, he's assuming she's gonna be a bitch about it.
Though, she has always been kinda a bitch to him. Like, why does he even like her? It never seemed like she really liked him, its just that he was pining over her like a chump and he was rich, so she kept him around. She was pretty mean and rude to him a lot of the time. And even when he ridiculously tried to marry her, I'm pretty sure for her it was less about wanting to be with Ben and more wanting to get away from her parents. Well, that and Ben was loaded, so she thought that would pay for someone to take care of her kid so she could be free to do normal teenage things. I mean, I know she's supposed to be the main girl, and a "good girl", but if you examine her actions on this show, she's kinda a bitch.
And holy cow, I cannot believe I ranted that long about that ep. I mean, that's longer than some of my Lost and Glee posts, and I don't even really like this show!
