. Kristen Bell can sing. Though I heard she did Broadway musicals, so its not that big of a surprise. But what's with all these shows having people sing now? And what's with these shows having characters horrified at the thought of karaoke-ing? Like public singing is that bad? Okay, I guess for some it would be. I mean, obviously, I have no problem with it, and those of you that know me know that I'm a karaoke hog. Its like, have one of those things at a party and I'll be the first one on it and you'd be hard pressed to pry me away. And also its karaoke, its okay if you're bad. People shouldn't seriously heckle you if you're bad. In fact, I say you should be applauded for having the courage to go up there. But I digress.
It was interesting to see some more Lilly Kane revalations. So Weevil was indeed seeing Lily, and was like totally in love with her? Duncan has some other reason for taking other meds and totally lost the time during his sister's death? Veronica had caught Logan macking on some other girl and told Lilly so they were broken up at the time of her death and he thinks she might not be dead if he had been there? Well, it was good to finally see Logan list a reason for hating Veronica. I mean, its not like she or her dad accused him or his family. The show did portray him as a psycho early on, but I don't think Veronica ever really thought he had a real reason to do it, just that he could be a psycho at times. And I think throughout the season its been shown that he wasn't as much of a psycho or an ass before Lily's death. But they did make all the guys more sympathetic, especially Logan. I don't think any of them are responsible for Lilly's death or slipping Veronica the roofie though. Or at least not Weevil. If the perpetrators are among those three, I would say Duncan killed his sister during a psychotic ep, and Logan was the one who did Veronica, though I'm very, very skeptical about the latter. Just like I am that Duncan and Veronica are brother and sister.
But getting back to the main plot of the ep, I definitely knew the chess guy was gonna end up being a Triton. And I had a feeling the framer guy was lying and wasn't being harrassed like he claimed, but I didn't see him not being a Triton pledge nor that the Tritons had nothing at all to do with it. I was confused though, because Duncan was one of the pledges, and I didn't expect him to be someone who'd just abandon a kid he was pledging with who got alcohol poisoning. That, and if they were as far reaching as he claimed, and had already framed Veronica, that she would have other things happen to her when she started investigating, and no way that Wallace would be able to help her out as much as he did, because they'd know he hangs out with her. So when they had six pledges at the induction ceremony, I was already suspicious, as tradition bound as they were, I'd think it'd be hard for them to scrounge up two new pledges right quick. And besides, what kind of secret society with ties to powerful people couldn't cover up some kid going into a coma from alcohol poisioning because of one of their supposed hazing rituals?
Dammit, forgot to do a couple of things this morning. Though I did remember to bring my ps2 controller for Tekken 5. We'll see how much better I do, if at all. I remembered my side step game should improve, so I have more options defensively instead of just turtling if they go on the offensive. I love Bryan's Headhunter and Cheap Trick moves. I guess he also has the punch counter, which I did get off a couple of times, but I've always been slow with counters and throw cancels. Lee has a punch counter now as well, and was able to pull that off yesterday. I've only played those two and Nina so far. But its good that they have so many characters selectable right off the back. I mean, there are some cool time release characters, but none of them are people I would consider in my set of characters I'm good at. Unless Heihachi really is a time release character (though I heard the last time release set was already revealed, and Hei never came out). I mean, with him and beink able to use a controller, I think I'd have a decent streak going. After all, other than Nina, he's the only other character I can pull off big juggles with, and I'm better juggling with him then her. Demon's Boar to 5 uppercuts or Demon Massacre, Demon godfist to jab and two uppercuts or Demon's Breath. And i can pull off all his crouch dash moves on the controller! Alas, he's not in it. Unless Jinpachi plays just like him. Though I'd hate to see when Devil Jin comes out, he's t3/ttt jin with devil lasers, though I haven't seen any really good Jin players at Tech. (Thank goodness!) It seems like everyone is a King or Hwoarang or Christie player. Boring! I'd like to see a good Jin or Kazuya, because I can respect getting beat up by that. Though I should prolly go beyond Lee/Bryan/Nina. Perhaps i'll try Kazuya one of these days? I have trouble playing t4/t5 Jin because he's similar enough to t3 Jin that I don't realize I can't play him that way.
