Caught I, Robot with the guys last night. From the trailers, I was expecting it to be totally crappy. But, maybe its because I had such low expectations, but it actually wasn't too bad. Though the movie is a little predictable. 1) If loose cannon cop is sure its the rich CEO of the company who's tha mastermind, and his love interest works for the company, then when the cop is made out to look like a paranoid nut: If CEO guy takes love interest into office and is all angry and "Why are you hanging out with this guy? He's a paranoid nut, he's going to ruin our life's work!" then he's innocent. If CEO guy is all nice about it and says, "I really don't think you should be hanging out with him. The poor fellow is mentally disturbed, and even though he's trying to ruin me, I'll pay for the hospital bills and psychiatric help he needs free of charge." then he's the bad guy. 2) Its always the super-computer AI who's the bad guy. Surprisingly enough, [livejournal.com profile] clevemire's baby sitter wasn't a robot. And I had guessed from the beginning that Will Smith was a robot as well, because the way he was clutching his arm made me think, "it's robotic!" and then he was having these nightmares and then he watched that footage where Doc dude is all "I predict robots will have dreams". Alas, I was right about the arm being robotic, but it was only a cybernetic replacement. Or maybe their will be a director's cut where it turns out Will Smith and Bridget Moynahan are really robots and they run off to Canada together.

Oh, I also hadn't mentioned I had seen Anchorman this week as well. I was a little worried at first, because the beginning wasn't too promising, or maybe that's because there were some old hippie-types sitting nearby being stupid and laughing hysterically at things that weren't too funny. But as it went on, it got hilarious!
