Owel, another hum drum weekend. And hey, its a new month, so new movies on GTCN. Saw "The Last Samurai" and "Chasing Liberty" at work Saturday. Can't remember why I didn't get to see "The Last Samurai" when it came out in theaters, maybe cause I was up in NYC at the time. It was pretty cool. Especially the swordplay. Graceful, poetry in motion. That one guy who kept schooling Tom Cruise until he did the whole "no mind" thing and managed a draw was pretty bad-ass! How swift his sword! I mean, after every parry his sword almost instantly swung around for a lethal blow. And then in their swordfight, I've never seen a movie where someone was actually quick enough to come around and block the parry to spin-around and behind and slash from the rear move, an oft used finishing move against nobodies while the hero wades through scores of bad guys. Chasing Liberty was okay. I mean, Mandy Moore is mad cute and has a pretty smoking bod, but something just seemed a little off. Maybe it was that the relationship between her and british secret agent guy didn't ring true. Or it progressed unrealistically fast. Or there's no real reason she should have stuck with him initially.

After work, went up to C+Ts to vamp it. Talk about pressure. I'm no strategist. Or maybe its because I take Murphy's Law too seriously. Things are bound to go wrong, so you should always have a plan B, and a plan C, and then it all gets overwhelming because you're worried more about coming about contingencies instead of trusting the plan and accomplishing your primary objective. Oh, and [livejournal.com profile] zarathustra94, answer your e-mail, I can't come up with a plan without knowing all the details!

Anyways, didn't have to go into work until 11am Sunday morning, so I could take my time with the usual morning rituals. Got to shave and even have enough time to fill my tank up at the gas station. A few problems at work, but nothing too hard to handle. D stayed as long as I did, (both days, actually) which is crazy, since that's two 16 hour work days in a row! But hey, that's extra money for him! And I'm glad he stayed to handle that one problem while I was working on other things.

And does anyone actually think Method and Red Man is funny? I mean, its the same old jokes repackaged! I predict an early cancellation!
