Actually got to sleep before midnight last night, so not as tired as I have been. Also has a short nap yesterday afternoon, passing out on the futon while doing laundry. It was strange because I was vaguely aware the roomie had come in, and he was in the kitchen preparing dinner (roasted pork, tortellini, and butter rolls) but a few minutes before I actually woke up, I had dreamed I had woken up already and had a conversation with him. Or rather, when I woke up, I thought I had already spoken to him since he got back, but I actually didn't. I shoulda realized it was a dream, it was kinda merged with the ep of Charmed showing on TNT at the time (I had left it on TNT for Angel the hour before) and often my dreams are influenced by what I hear. I mean, I was describing some monster we were supposed to be on the look out for, and he was looking it up in a Monster Manual as if it was The Book of Shadows. Only he realized, it wasn't a monster manual, it was a few scraps of paper with some colored drawings some kid did.
But yesterday, finished up the first disc of Gunslinger Girl that I rented from Oxford. It seems pretty cool, its along the same lines as stuff like La Femme Nikita and Leon/The Professional. Though it could use more action. Ida know, I've always liked the look and feel of those movies and stuff like Kite and Noir, but they always seemed like they could use more action. Actually, Noir had a decent amount, but Kite definitely coulda used a little more. Or mebbe its because I've seen too much of that Hong Kong stylized violence that my standards for the amount of action that should be in a movie are too high. Anyways, I'd like to see how the rest of Gunslinger Girl turns out, though it sounds like it will be one of those tragic series, as many of the works of this genre often are.
Oh, and TGIF! Weekends are good, though I guess this will be my last full weekend before I change shifts next week.
