Today was a fun day. Went with [livejournal.com profile] psyched_out and his lady to the Museum of American Illustration where they were doing a Mutts exhibit. Yesh! They actually had a few comics I hadn't seen before. Afterwards, went to see the Frick collection. We got there at the right time, because as we left, the line to get inside was packed. Had lunch at some deli, then went to the Guggenheim where they were doing an exhibition on Rosenquist. Some interesting stuff there. Afterwards went to some jewelry store for an hour while his woman shopped around. You know chyx and jewels. Had dinner at this really nice Indian restaurant, who's name escapes me right now. S-something.

Then, we went to see Mamma-Mia. You know, that play where they use Abba songs. It was pretty cool. The story was a little prosaic, but I enjoyed it. After all, Abba rocks! The girl who played the daughter kinda reminded me of Kirsten Dunst too, because she had blonde hair done in the style of Kirsten Dunst when she did Crazy/Beautiful, and she kinda sounded like her too. The audience was a little cornball. There was this mother with her young girl getting all into it at the end, and the cute teenage chyx sitting next to me kept dancing in their seats and singing along. Owel, the only problem I think was that the performers were a little off-key during the chorus to S.O.S. I'd recommend it. But that's the second play in almost as many days I've seen, having seen Rent on Sunday. Also very good. I think the only other play I've seen is Cats. Which is surprising, given the number of times [livejournal.com profile] isabel79 went to various plays. I guess I just wasn't around.
