(no subject)

Heh, on the heels of me mentioning this upcoming season was BSG's last and w00ter's insistence that it wasn't last weekend was the announcement that BSG's 4th was indeed its last. Which kinda confuses me that the sites are reporting it again this week, because didn't RJM already say that around the end of last season? Truthfully, I'm not that disappointed over this announcement or the announcement that Lost was ending in 2009. Not that I think the shows started sucking. But their overall plots have a fixed expiration date. I prefer that all these creators have a definite end point to the series and will now spend their creative energies moving towards it, as opposed to something like the X-Files where they just came up with more and more BS as the show went on that by the end, it didn't feel like anything really happened! The Losties will leave the island, the fleet will find Earth. If they just screw around and not get anywhere near this goal, the shows would just continue to lose viewers and the story become more convoluted until the writers have written themselves into such a conundrum (again, X-Files) that the ending is just unsatisfying. This way, the shows will most likely end on a good note, particularly if the writers know when the end point has to be by and can write the eps so they appropriately reach that point.

Anyways, as I was watching something on SpikeTV, and then again on some web ad, I saw a discussion over the hottest Jessica, Biel or Alba? Didn't realize it had to do with Guy's Choice special. Ha, so hottest Jessica is indeed a category! That is quite a difficult choice, I'm not sure if I can decide. I think I'm leaning towards Alba.

Some of the categories are kinda weird, but I guess its because they're all this or that choice as opposed to having several choices:

1) Biggest Ass Kicker: King Leonidas vs Jack Bauer. I mean, that's kinda a random choice to me. I guess 300 came out this year, and 24 is still popular.

2) Ballsiest Band: Disturbed or Lamb of God. I don't know the latter, but again, it seems to me there would be several other bands that would be higher up on a list of "ballsiest bands" than these two.

3) Hottest Girl on the Planet: Beyonce or Adriana Lima. Hey, I like Beyonce and all, but hottest girl on the planet?

4) Luckiest bastard: Dominic Monaghan or Cash Warren. Heh, the category is about how that hobbit is dating his Lost co-star, hot Evangeline Lilly, while the other guy dates Jessica Alba. To me, it depends on how you define lucky. I mean, not only is Merry dating a hottie like Evangeline Lilly, he's on a hit television show and on an awesome movie trilogy. So, that's pretty lucky. But on the other hand, who the frick is Cash Warren? The fact that some guy like this could be dating someone like Jessica Alba could be considered lucky.

5) Funniest MF: Will Ferrell or Borat. I'm just amused they refer to Will Farrell by his real name, but refer to Sascha Baron Cohen as Borat. Is it because some people don't realize he, Ali G, and Borat are the same guy?

6) Gift from the gods: Minka Kelly or Rashida Jones. Hey, I think both of these chyx are hot, but gifts from the gods? I think they frump Rashida Jones a little bit on the Office, and FNL is an hour long, so in terms of percentage of screen time looking hot, Minka Kelly has the edge.

7) Most Unstoppable Jock: Kobe Bryant vs Landainian Tomlinson. I think my sports knowledge (or lack of) is well known. Hell, I prolly wouldn't even heard of Kobe Bryant if not for that sex scandal.

8) Naughtiest Cybervixen: Tila Tequila or Christine Dolce. I've mentioned before how I was watching that Identity show last month, and the guy like didn't know her. I was all, Its Tila Tequila! What rock are you living under?

9) Most Dangerous Man: UFC's Chuck Liddell or Dog the Bounty Hunter. I've never actually seen an ep of Dog, so I'd go with Chuck if only because I wouldn't wanna mess with anyone who made a name for themselves in the UFC.

10) Femme Fatal(sic): Tricia Helfer or Rose Mcgowan. Please, Six, no contest! She's hot, plus she does a better job of playing a "Femme Fatal", as they call it.

11) Kingpin (Guy of the Year): James Gandolfini or George Clooney. Isn't this a guy's choice award thing, so wouldn't the voters be mostly guys? Why would they pick Clooney over Tony Soprano!?

12) Cockiest Crew: Entourage Crew or Jackass 2 Crew. I've never been a fan of Jackass. And Vinnie Chase and co get some hot-ass chicks. No contest!

13) Gutsiest move: Stephen Colbert vs Chris Petersen. If this were Family Guy, I'd be all, "I know a thing or two about gutsy moves", and we'd cut to some random pop culture reference.

14) Sickest Rhymes: Nas or Jay-Z. Technically, Nas is from my neck of the woods (the Queensbridge projects were not five minutes away from where I lived in NY), but Jay-Z teamed with Linkin Park to make some awesome tracks.

15) Sexiest import: Brit Keely Hazell or Israeli Bar Rafaeli. I'm not too familiar with the latter, but Keely Hazell is frickin hot-ass.

16) Coolest geek: Dwight from the Office or Hiro from Heroes. This is actually a hard one! Hiro has cool powers, but Dwight is frickin' hysterical. (and more accurate with the pop culture references in his blog!)

17) Biggest Gangstertainment: The Departed vs The Sopranos. I dunno, how can you compare a movie with a long-running series? They're like apples and oranges, both pretty good portrayals using their respective mediums.

19) King of the Board: Shaun White or Rob Dyrdek. Who?

20) Game with most Game: WoW vs Madden NFL 07. This category makes no sense whatsoever!! Could they pick two games at more opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of players?

Had lunch at the Indian Buffet place with zarathrustra94, turdburgler, RAM, and M. As we were leaving, I brought up the whole "hottest Jessica" category from the Guy's Choice awards. (Which reminds me, didn't Flavio have a "Jessicas" collage?) Anyhoo, I forget the breakdown. I think people leaned towards Alba? But, what do YOU the reader think? (Poll time!!)

Anyways, after geek fun, hit Micro Center to pick up another computer fan, which seems to have fixed the high temperature issues. I just needed to get a little more airflow through the case. Speedfan shows the temps at a much more reasonable level.
