TV commentary:
Supergirl- Whoops! So since Supergirl is still stuck in the suit, Jimmy thinks maybe he needs to help, even if he'll get arrested for being the Guardian. Nia has one of her prophetic dreams and warns Jimmy something bad will happen if he goes out as Guardian.
But he does anyway, because helping Kara is worth the risk. And he actually is fine, he doesn't get in trouble. But that's because the something bad is him becoming a poster child for the anti-alien sentiment. So Agent Liberty and the Graves' plan was to use Fiona (she's alive?!) to mind control aliens to cause terror, which they did. And since Guardian stopped them to save people, he's all over the news all, "Yeah, Guardian, taking out those roaches!"
Anyways, Fiona doesn't survive her injuries, and she makes Manchester Black (who doesn't seem to have his powers yet) not go all crazy trying to avenge her. But since he's a known character from the comics, of course he is.
Supergirl- Heh, too bad TV Guide spoiled this! First things first, lets get the Negan stuff out of the way first. Maggie goes to kill Negan, but doesn't because he's a pathetic shell of a man who wants to die.
Now onto the Rick stuff. He manages to get himself un-impaled, and slowly leads the zombies to the bridge, hallucinating Shane, Hershel, Sasha, and even his living friends along the way. His hope is that the weight will cause the bridge to collapse, but alas, they did too good a job reinforcing it. The gang shows up just in time to try and save him, with Daryl sniping zombies getting close to Rick, and the rest of the gang trying to do something to distract the herd away from him and the road to hilltop.
But its too big a herd, and he doesn't want them dying because of him. Luckily, there happens to be a box of dynamite on the bridge, and he shoots it to blow himself and the bridge up, washing the zombies all away. Daryl has sad face as he had a bird's eye view of the whole thing since he was covering Rick, and Maggie and Carol have to hold Michonne back from charging in there to find Rick.
It turns out Rick was blown clear, and manages to be found by Anne, who was randomly nearby. She calls the chopper for a pickup, saying he'll be worth their while and she just wants them to save her friend. And so the chopper takes her and Rick off to parts unknown, the rest of the gang unaware of his fate.
We get a timejump to the start of the Whisperers arc. Judith is older now, prolly 10 or so but apparently a bad-ass, wearing her father/brother's hat, and Michonne's katan on her back, saving that one group. Hmm, people thought Enid would take Carl's place in these stories now, but maybe its Judith?
