Lost In Space- Most of the way through this. Its not bad- not groundbreaking or anything, but a perfectly fine family space adventure show. Heh, I'm surprised the Robinsons haven't gotten like lynched yet. I mean, they come up with some good ideas and solutions, but they also have a huge laundry list of things to upset the other colonists. First off, keeping the robot a secret, and even jockeying for it to stay despite it having massacred some of their fellow colonists, and causing the accident that led to the deaths of even more colonists.
Then there's the one-two punch of Maureen keeping mum about the black hole and them all getting fried if they stay on the planet (though to be fair, Hiroki figured it out himself too and also didn't want to say anything for fear or panicking everyone) and Judy trying to save Evan and losing most of the fuel they worked so hard to recover in the process, and it being for nothing since he died anyways.
But yeah, I get not wanting to panic people, but that's still a pretty important thing for people to know. Not to be cold or anything, but maybe if Judy knew, or the others knew, they might've acted differently when Evan was hurt. Though I guess if things didn't happen like that, Judy would prolly beat herself up for the rest of her life wondering if she could save him. Now she knows she couldn't.
But I digress, it would've come out eventually, so why not prepare people sooner rather than later. I mean, that's why Victor didn't trust Maureen when she said they wouldn't be able to make it. After all the lies her family told, how can he trust them. And then John stormed in and pulled the plug on them to stop them from launching.
Owel, other stuff about he show. Dr Smith/June's evil manipulative ass cracks me up. Like people usually get onto her, but its hilarious how she doesn't stop. I mean, I guess she's just doing what she needs to survive, but her lies and excuses know no bounds!
I do wish they explained the colony situation better. If it was a one way, one time only trip, I'd think the family wanting to all go together would be more pressing to me. Like they certainly acted like it was a big deal. But since Don is a smuggler, apparently that ship goes back and forth all the time! So not so once in a lifetime.
