Crazy Ex-Girlfriend- OMG, seriously, you end the ep there?!! Like isn't this a comedy, that was super freaking dark! So the ep ends with Rebecca attempting suicide on a flight back to California, but thankfully finding the strength to seek help before she dies of an OD.
So what got her on that path? Back home, things were not going well with her and her mom, until her mother spies that she was looking up suicide websites. So her mom sneaks some anti-anxiety pills into some milkshakes and just hangs out. Which, Rebecca was actually happy for the first time in a while. So she's crushed when she finds out her mom has been drugging her. She had hope things were changing, and this stunt just took that all away.
Rebecca impulsively buys a ticket back to California, but midflight realizes she burned all the bridges there, and she can't go back to NY, so she ends up downing all the pills. But like I said, she gets help from the flight attendant before she ODs.
Back in California, the office was actually going batshit when Rebecca quit and they transferred onto the replacement Nathaniel brought in. There's a guy who thought he and Rebecca had a thing, and now thinks there's undeniable sparks between him and the new lady. Maya is trying to make her her new mentor. And Daryl keeps trying to solicit relationship advice.
Nathaniel finds the fact that she is the complete opposite of Rebecca refreshing, but then ends up breaking down in front of her lady, because he's actually kinda crushed Rebecca left. Eventually, the lady quits, saying she's filing an HR complaint on all of them and hopes she can retire on the settlement she's gonna get.
Surprisingly, Paula handled things well. She was sad at first, but some quality family time got her over it, and then seeing how crazy everyone ls, she tells them they have to move on.
Next week's ep should be good.
