TV commentary:

TVD- Heh, really? What a waste! I mean, Tristan Mays is on Macgyver now, but still it seemed like such a waste to bring her back just to off her!

But wow, the gang screwed up big time this ep! So Sybil knows Enzo is holding out on her, so he gives up Sarah's name. He tries to give the MF gang clues by eating other Sarah Nelsons. Which, I didn't realize Bonnie didn't know of her existence. Though I guess Bonnie had her own things going on at the time.

What happens is a big domino effect. Not sure what Enzo was trying to do, because it seemed like even though he let Sybil think Sarah was someone important to him, its not like he was trying to sacrifice her in Bonnie's stead. So he tries to spirit Sarah away, but then seems quite surprised when the MF gang shows up. Of course they would, he gave them clues leading them to her!

Enzo didn't want to see Bonnie, because he didn't want Sybil knowing who she was. Plus he has to break the news that even though he's there, he can't stay, Sybil's hold on him is so strong. That doesn't stop Bonnie from knocking him out and trying to run away with him. A plan cut short when he gets excruciating pain in his head when he's too far from Sybil.

But yeah, since he's off book for too long, Sybil goes to see what's going on. Damon neutralizes Caroline by removing her daylight ring so she's stuck where she is, leaving him free to get to Sarah and try and snap her neck. Stefan manages to talk him down, but in doing so, he drops Elena's name, all "Elena wouldn't want you to do this!" Which Sybil shows up just in time to hear.

She mortally wounds Sarah, and uses her powers on Stefan so he can do nothing but kneel their helplessly. Upon hearing Elena's name, she finally figured out that was Damon's last bastion of defense. She goes into his mind and learns who Elena is, and then uses her powers to overwrite his feelings for Elena and direct them towards herself.

Well, at least Sybil not only demonstrated the control she had over Damon, but how easily she took down Stefan, so he shouldn't blame what happened to Sarah on Damon. I mean, in terms of blame, I would think Enzo and Bonnie would rank hire, Enzo for putting Sarah in Sybil's sights in the first place, and Bonnie for running off with Damon. Though I forget Bonnie no longer has her powers, so its not like she could do anything to Sybil other than die. In any case, Stefan blames himself for his last living relative's death. But at least he doesn't wallow and be all, "I must stay away from any attachment!", because he goes ahead and proposes to Caroline.

Anyways, with Damon now fully under her control, she gets him to grab Enzo's heart, weakening him enough so she can get into his mind and find out about Bonnie. So yeah, Sarah's dead, Damon's last mental defense against Sybil was ruined, and now she also knows what Enzo's last mental defense is.

Other stuff- heh, Georgie is basically Claudia, but as an archeologist as opposed to a uber-science whiz. We do get some backstory on her. When she was younnger, she was texting and driving, and got into a horrible accident that killed her friend. She thinks she also died, and ended up in hell before she was revived. During that death experience, she saw a symbol, which she tattoo-ed on herself. A symbol that's on an artifact they found at the armory.
