TV commentary:
Flash- Thank goodness! But, oh no! We didn't spend too much time in the Flashpoint universe, as happy as Barry was to have his parents back, he didn't want "everyone else" to pay for his mistakes. Though honestly, the only bad things were that Joe was a lush and Wally got badly hurt. I mean, they might be able to figure out a way to heal Wally. And they could possibly get through to Joe and get him back to the way he was in the normal universe. You know what you can't recover from? Being killed by Reverse-Flash!
Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're back on the "right" timeline (mostly), but Barry's motivation was kinda weak. He was on his way to getting back to Iris, Cisco was a millionaire, now that he revealed the old time line to the others, he could've forged them into Team Flash II. Its not like this new world was SO horrible that he should be all, "Welp, this place sucks, time to make my parents dead again!"
Anyways, he comes back to what seems like the "real" world, but he soon finds out that Iris is on the outs with her family. Wonder what happened? They do at least imply that even with this change, they should find each other, since Flashpoint Iris sensed something "missing". A feeling that went away when she saw Barry again. Wonder if this Joe/Iris having some fallout will be the new normal now?
