TV commentary:

Preacher- Ah, I thought so! I didn't think the compulsion ended on Quincannon, because if it had, I figured he'd be confused and/or angry at being mind controlled. But Jesse fell into the trap of not being specific with his commands. Jesse's bet with Quincannon was that he would make a Christian out of him, else he'd give him his church. Too bad Jesse's command was to "serve god". Which as it turns out, the god Quincannon decided to serve was not the Christian god, but the "god of meat". After all, Odin's been a staunch atheist ever since his whole family died in a tragic skytram accident. Well, presumably an accident.

For his part, Jesse does find the whole ordeal amusing. So he makes Odin a new bet- he's going to find god and bring him to the church and give everyone answers.

Oh, but heh, Donnie putting his head in the trunk and pulling the trigger. I thought it would be odd for him to just kill himself, as there was nothing that had happened to make him suicidal. But I eventually figured out, oh, he was deafening himself so he couldn't hear Jesse. And I was proven right!
