TV commentary:
Agent Carter- Just some highlights! So, Whitney takes over the Council, killing her husband and some select members in the process. To be fair, they tried to kill her first. In the process, Dottie, whom Peggy broke out to use to get Whitney's blood since Peggy is 1) wounded and 2) easily recognized by the bad guys at the is point, gets captured.
I like how Dottie laughed off all Vernon's attempts at threats and torture, but apparently Dottie's weakness is the unknown. She was kinda disturbed when she met Wilkes and her hand went through him, and she shows fear for the first time on this show when its Whitney's turn to try and get answers out of her. For Dottie, the spy and torture game is child's play. But she's not prepared to deal with powers. So, it only takes a few minutes of Whitney using her powers on her to get some vital info- that Wilkes is alive and at Stark's LA mansion.
And we shoulda seen this coming a mile away- Ana has a conversation about how she worries about her husband and he promises her he'll be just fine. It was a misdirect- while Jarvis and Peg were busy rescuing Dottie and trying to foil the trap they think they're walking into, Whitney and Manfredi hit the mansion, kidnapping Wilkes (who had been stabilized for now thanks to some sciencing earlier in the ep) and then shooting Ana to prevent pursuit.
So, for all the danger Jarvis has been running to, its Ana who ends up getting hurt. We don't know her fate at the end.
Other stuff, Dottie uses the opportunity to escape, and Vernon has a couple of thugs beat up Sousa at his house. Sousa manages to make it in, though he's clearly hurt. Vernon is all, he needs some rest to recuperate! So, Vernon will be taking over the LA branch for now!
So we end on kinda a downer- Peg lost Wilkes, Ana may be dying, Dottie got away, and now she's cut off from official support now that Vernon has taken over.
