TV commentary:
Defiance- I'm sure a bunch of people flipped out in the beginning. What with Yewll seeming killed in the first minute. At first I thought maybe I was just being racist and thinking all Indogene look alike and it wasn't her. But then I remembered Kindzi had material to clone her. So I was 95% sure that was a clone. (the other 5% had me thinking it actually was the real doc and she'd be replaced with a clone) They did stretch it out though, what with them taking the unidentifiable Indogene corpse to the Docs and her seemingly being gone. They really wanted you to think the Doc was actually dead.
But ha, I'm amused that Samir actually did bring up what I was curious about, that what if the corpse was the real Doc and Yewll is now the clone. But they confirmed it was just a clone. Anyways, when the Doc went to investigate the matter on her own, Kindzi put a device on the real Yewll so she has to be obedient to the Omec. T'evgin puts Kindzi back in stasis for her insolence at starting all these plans and bringing suspicion on them, but not before she orders Yewll to cover up all this by any means necessary. So, when the Doc gets back and Samir just won't drop it, she injects him with something, possibly killing him.
Anyways, Nolan is still haunted by his mistake. He tries to talk to Zero's father to alleviate his conscience. And they do talk and everything seems fine. But then when Nolan comes back the next day, the guy has hung himself. I'm sure that's not going to sink him into a deeper depression!
Also, I've said it before, but is it me, or is Andina really freaking cute?
Killjoys- Okay, so that's an answer. So, apparently the mysterious doctor D'Avin was looking for is played by Carter from Stargate. He was put through a mysterious experiment that would make him turn against his men and kill them. Well, it was only supposed to be a test, and no one was supposed to die. But the mind control was apparently strong enough that D'avin tried his damned hardest to follow his mental directives and killing his friends.
So, Carter tries activating him again to cover everything up. So, he ends up fighting Dutch (right after they did it) and she manages to knock him out. She ties him up to confront the doctor and make her turn D'avin off. She manages to get Carter to do it, but not before D'avin stabs his brother.
Pawter, who is somehow out of jail even thought the one guy said she doesn't have the juice she claims she has, saves John. But its weird, because she pulls rank on a medical transport to get him immediate attention. Now, was the guy last week wrong about how much influence she has? Did those medical folks not know she doesn't have juice?
Dark Matter- Ah, some more questions answered, in time for more questions to be posed. So six uses that clone transfer stuff to go after the general. There's a few hiccups, like where his clone gets killed at the beginning of the ep, and then when he finally gets to the general and kills him, the general is also using the cloning transfer tech (which makes perfect sense).
However, the way they describe the tech working leaves some plot holes. Firstly, they imply the real you is in stasis and when you're done with the clone, you go back to the pod to transfer your memories. Which also implies there's no way to get feedback, because its not like you are actually connected to the clone at the time. But yeah, so the main gripes I had where the one lady wanting to take the clone alive and torturing him until he gave up his real location. I mean, sure, at the time it would hurt like shit, but its not his real body, why should he care? He could kill himself the first chance he gets to avoid the pain. But yeah, since its not the real him, why would he ever give any info out?
Secondly, he set his shuttle to explode as a distraction, figuring it would be a one way trip when he saw the general. Which again, given the way the thing is supposed to work, there's a gaping hole in the plot. Okay, lets say he successfully killed the general and is now stranded on that base. Since if he doesn't get back to the pod before the clone time outs, those memories are lost. So he wouldn't even know he killed the general!
But heh, one and four go to find six, and ha, since one isn't really Jace, when they scan his dna and reconstitute him across the system, his body is different. But now everyone knows he's not really Jace, but at the same time, if whoever he really is had a plan, its not like he knows it anymore. He looks himself up, and finds out he used to be a fabulously wealthy guy who's wife was murdered. And who's the main suspect? Three! So not-Jace may have infiltrated the ship to get revenge on his wife's killed.
Finally, Two and the Android talk once she's back online, and the Android knows Two is covering up something big about herself. So new mystery for people to figure out!
