ooh, scary
Went to a haunted house. It was pretty cool. I went with Scott, Sato, Holli, and Josh. w00tie was supposed to go, but he backed out. Going with two loving couples, I suppose that made me a fifth wheel. I joked that Scott should've asked Holli to bring some WRAS hottie for me, so we'd all have dates. He quipped back that w00ter was supposed to be my lady friend. Har, har!
Anyways, left home just as the "Inca Mummy Girl" ep of Buffy came on F/X. Scott, Sato, and I went to Popeyes. Then after a couple of back and forth calls on Sato and Holli's cellphones, we get enough coupons to get $5 off and go in. Lots of scary moments, though Sato didn't think I was scared. I think I was walking through it a little too fast, as I normally walk too fast, which led to a couple of interesting situations. They told me I was walking a little too fast, so I'd look behind me every so often to make sure I didn't leave them behind. At one point I briefly look behind me and thought I saw Scott. Only the person is wearing a white coat instead of a brown one. So I look behind me and see some Mad scientist with a knife. Ack! Then, as we neared the end of the first house, this guy pops up between me and the rest of them. He's wielding a chain saw and cranks it up. So I see him, and Scott described it as anti-climactic because I just stood there. He was all "Run!" Finally, I make my way towards the exit. I see there's a small nook to my left, so I slice pie around the corner to see if someone is hiding in it. Only its not a nook, its a secret passage and the guy with the chainsaw is running down it towards me. It was neat.
Afterwards, we talked a little bit as Holli regaled us with her trip to NY with Josh for the CMG music festival. She was originally supposed to go on the 12th, but then 9/11 happenned and the festival was delayed. It is kind of embarrassing that it seems both her and Scott did a lot more interesting stuff in the short time they were there than I did in the 18 years I lived there. Then again, I grew up there, so these places they go to aren't as exciting to me.
