TV commentary:
Gotham- Cute episode. Or at least the Bruce/Cat parts. I don't know how old they're supposed to be, but they seem to be around that age for that sorta thing to start, so it may not exactly be wise to have them living together unsupervised. I mean, Cat was even all, "Have you ever kissed a girl?" to Bruce and getting all flirty and who knows where that might've gone if Alfred didn't come in with the cock-block.
But ooh, Barbara leaves Gordon saying she needs some time... in bed with Renee! Which, is it technically cheating? I wasn't sure if she actually broke up with him, or just needed time. But geez, on the forums, people seem way hostile about this development. All, "that cheating bitch!", though more hostile than I've seen when its a woman cheating with a guy?
The Originals- Oh, things are going to really come to a head over misconceptions! So, we learn an interesting bit of trivia on Kol. Turns out of all the Mikaelson kids, he was the first and possibly only one to show witchly talent. Which is why he was so angry all the time- he lost his powers upon being turned and thus spent a lot of his travels trying to learn new forms of magic that he could utilize. Which is why he developed a nack for using cursed objects.
But yeah, so, he continues to get his flirt on with Davina, who's becoming more receptive to his advances. He tells her about hanging with her ancestor (Mary Alice Claire, played by Keri Lynn Pratt in the webisodes) and them working on a cursed object that could suit Davina's needs- a dagger that would work on Klaus. That way, they could just dagger him instead of killing him, and Josh and Marcel (and the MF gang) would all be fine.
Alas, just when she lets her guard down and gets close to him, he gets grabbed by Marcel when she goes to sleep. So as far as she knows, Kol-eb was just playing her to get into the tomb to get the dagger.
Meanwhile, Hayley, Marcel, Josh, and Aiden spring a trap for Finn-cent using Cami as bait. She's all, "Oh Vincent, you can't be my advisor anymore, because I have inappropriate feelings for you!" And he totally believes her and is all eggcited. She's "grabbed" and bitten by a werewolf (really Hayley in disguise) for Finn to see and then whisked away. Aiden is all, "Oh, its a rogue wolf, but I found her, she's tied up in the church!" Unfortunately, Finn figures it out, KO-ing Aiden, and then snapping Josh's neck when he goes to protect his new bf. Hayley then chomps on him, but Finncent is about to get the upper hand when Jackson saves her with a few well-placed arrows. And then Cami chains him with some special magical chains that prevent magic from being used. He's kinda crushed at the betrayal.
So, in the end, Marcel and Hayley offer up these two "prizes" to Klaus.
Meanwhile, in the most tragic storyline of the ep, Klaus goes to find some ancient herbs to help Elijah. He remembered his mom giving her dad this remedy back when he was a kid, and Ansel accompanies Klaus, saying he was the one who originally showed it to Esther. They have some bonding time, but then Ansel makes a grave mistake. He reveals he knows Hope is alive.
Which freaks Klaus the eff out. Given enough time, he may have grown to love and trust his new dad. But since Ansel was raised by Esther to try and sway Klaus, he can't trust Ansel. He may willingly betray Klaus, or may be under control and reveal Hope being alive to his mom. And so, he reluctantly slays his father. He just can't be sure Esther won't find out, and he would never forgive himself is something happened to Hope because of that.
Of course, he didn't have to display his dad's corpse in Esther's lair. I forget that Esther loved the guy. But since she doesn't know about Hope, she prolly thinks Klaus is just being a sadistic dick. And on the other side of the coin, since Klaus is unaware of the deal she made with her crazy sister, he thinks his mom was just being vengeful when she went after his daughter months ago. And its doubly bad because she doesn't know her sister is coming because there is a first born child out there, and Klaus doesn't even know that's a threat to worry about.
But yeah, she's pretty pissed at what happened to Ansel and her son, so she goes after Cami, but we don't see what she does, have to wait next week for that.
