TV commentary:

Broad City- So, I've been catching bits and pieces of this show, the episode where they're trying to get to a wedding is hilarious and has a lot of my favorite things. But yeah, in one scene, a car rental lady is referring to one of the characters "looking all Idris Elba", and he's all "Wait, are we talking Stringer Bell or Luther?" Having still not scene the Wire, is there a big difference?

Garfunkel and Oates- Speaking of sitcoms by comedy duo chyx, caught this last night. Not bad, its amusing enough. I am curious though, there's a scene where they're making a joke about the differences in their acting reels, and Riki Lindhome's is just a bunch of topless scenes. And I'm wondering, does she do a lot of those? I mean, I've mostly only seen her on sitcoms and the occasional crime procedural, which are on network TV and thus do not show nudity. But there's also this one movie where she like does full frontal for a few minutes (which was quite surprising! Pleasantly so). (Link NSFW, obviously)

Avatar- Woah, what a shocking twist! Totally surprising, and kinda awesome. Holy crap, who says air bending is not as lethal as the other elements? Zaheer freaking air bends the air out of the Earth Queen? Eh, eff that bitch, she was a corrupt psycho anyways.

Also, I'm totally curious if he actually killed her. I mean, it seems he did, after all, he sucked all the air out of her lungs and her eyeballs were starting to bleed and shit. But they never say he killed her, they keep on referring to it as him taking her out. Now, its also sort of a show for younger viewers, so maybe they can kill people (plenty of people have died on screen on this show before), but they can't refer to it as killing them? So I have no idea if they're using the term "take out" to not disturb the younger viewers, or if she survived.

But yeah, whats was weird in the end was that Tonraq was all, "Red Lotus? What's that?" Wasn't he hanging out with Zuko this whole time? I thought he help capture them with Tenzin and the others? Or was that Unalaq? Or did he and the others not know they were calling themselves the Red Lotus society?
