tree

I'm not going to say things have been going surprisingly well at work given the crazy storms going on right now, because that's just gonna jinx it. A tree fell on our roof. There doesn't seem to be any damage to said roof, thankfully. Although I forsaw this event on Friday. Is it psychic phenomena? Its like that accident that happenned last year. Perhaps I'm just using the information I either consciously or subconsciously gather to make certain predictions of behavior, and I only remember if I make an accurate prediction. Like the tree. When I was coming home on Friday, I noticed it seemed ready to fall. And you could tell that the weather was gonna be stormy soon. So I prolly put that info together, and made a guess that it would fall. I only think about it, because I was right. If I was wrong, I prolly wouldn't even have remembered making such a prediction or told myself I was being paranoid for nothing. Same thing with the accident. The weather was stormy/post-stormy. That increases the chances of accidents. Thus, you have a higher chance of being right when you say that an accident will happen. And if you make that guess 10 times, and are only correct two, but you only remember the two times, you'll think you're predictions are quite accurate even though they're not.

Like today, some lady complained about some joke someone wrote on the printing whiteboard. I mean, I was thinking when I first saw it, someone will be offended and complain. (Actually, I thought to "Friends", and to paraphrase Monica, "This joke is offensive to women! And trees!") But of course, its not exacatly a PC joke, so someone was bound to complain, eventually.
