TV commentary:
Legend of Korra: Okay, that was a surprise! Well, I remember back when Varrick was first introduced, it seemed like his character could be potentially shady. But then he came off as a fop for several episodes. Him being behind the triad attacks was an unexpected twist. Also, its funny, that once you know he's a bad guy, he went from amusing to creepy in the space of a second when Mako saw him after figuring everything out.
And really? He's not going to tell Asami when she's away from him?! I understand the need to find proof first, but is he going to leave her alone with a potentially dangerous man. And its not like he has this great poker face. I'll be surprised if he hasn't figured out Mako isn't onto him from that convo. It is nice to see that the Bolin stuff ended up being a relevant plot point, what with Mako figuring it all out from the on-set pyrotechnics.
And ugh, are they actually going to revisit the Mako/Asami/Korra love-triangle again? Owel, hopefully Asami will stop getting dumped on- she loses her bf, her father is imprisoned for being a terrorist, now Varrick and the triad trick her and Mako and steal all her stuff, then her new business partner that she thinks is her savior is secretly a bad guy? What the frick.
Oh, and apparently Korra is on the fire nation shore, having lost her memory? Wonder what's gonna happen next week? Will we see Zuko?
