TV commentary:
Fringe- Series finale. It was happier than I was expecting. But also sadder in a different way than I was expecting. Like I said last week, I was thinking if they stop the Observers from coming to be, that might have implications for Peter. But apparently not! For some reason, their plan to take the boy into the future will only stop the Observers from invading in 2015 but nothing else. Anyways, its sad, because Walter has to guide the boy, and can never come back to 2015 again. So he gets prepared for it, says his goodbyes to Peter. But then Donald is all, wait, I can do it!
Only he gets killed during the end run, so Walter still ends up having to go. But hey, things snap back to 2015 and Peter and Olivia and Ella live happily ever after. Which I am happy for. Heh, of course, if it didn't happen that way, I would think a good portion of the fanbase would riot.
And hey, Olivia did get to hang out in the alt-verse while trying to rescue Michael. It looks like Fauxlivia and Lincoln Lee are living happily ever after with a kid. Even Walternate (not that we see him) is apparently still a spry 90, giving lectures around the country and wot-not. Although how awkward could that be for Lincoln? Heh, hey, here's your first choice of the Olivias, still young and hot. Not that his aged Olivia isn't still really good looking for their age.
Nikita- Tragedy! But again, not the one I was expecting! So, Birkhoff's been having nightmares were Nikki and Sonia get killed. So, he fesses up to the others, and they come up with a plan to deactivate Sonia's chip. Heh, it involves using some footage Amanda has, about a meeting Michael and Alex has where he says he knows she's using. It looks surprisingly intimate. They were going to keep quiet for Nikita's sake. But since Amanda sent the footage to Sonia to cause trouble (after all, they were trying to pretend Nikita and Michael were having issues), they work with it and give something for the Malex fans. They kiss in front of Amanda's guy ("the Watchman", a Division covert ops legend).
Anyways, not only does the plan work, they not only deactivate Sonia's chip, they catch the Watchman, the other Division mole, and Nikita kills Anne to boot. But! When trying to take down Amanda, Anne tosses a grenade, which gets Michael trapped under a burning car, and Nikki has to chop his hand off to save him.
Suits- Wow, that was a kinda depressing premiere. And wow, could Mike be any more of a judge-y a-hole? I mean, obviously, the case opens up old wounds for him, but wow, finding that old lawyer and pretending to be someone else and being all, "How do you live with yourself?!" He tries to tank the deal they had with the plaintiffs, but Harvey does a run around him and solves it by giving the ADA a job (the chick from Center Stage, she's been in like so many shows lately!) Then he lectures Mike for being a little shit. Yes, it sucks that he has to do shitty things, but if he doesn't want too, they're perfectly happy to show him the door. Harvey (and the firm!) puts his ass on the line all the time, but Mike can be a little ungrateful.
One example, Louis gets to hire a first year. Unfortunately, the one he hires is a Harvard grad who remembers everyone since she was class secretary, and she didn't know Mike Ross. So Jessica is all, "Louis, you can't hire anyone, we need to regroup, tell her there's a hiring freeze!" So he does. Unfortunately, as I said in the previous paragraph, Harvey had to hire the ADA in order to stop Mike from torching things. So Louis looks like a fool, and ends up getting dumped by his girlfriend who had done great favors to help Harvey try and hire that Harvard girl in the first place.
I'm amused that Louis is a prick, and thinks he's being persecuted by the others. And he is, just not intentionally. Like he thinks they hate him (well, they do) and they're intentionally trying to eff with him. But they're not, things just seem to roll that way.
In any case, judge-y Mike gets told by Rachel, dumps Tess because "he needs to get his shit together", and even Harvey loses out in the love game. He has a wonderful date with Zoe, even though she has to stay in and watch her niece. He does so well. Unfortunately, Zoe's brother died from the big C, and was actually leaving the niece in her care. So, she's leaving to raise the girl.
